Four hours of Hamlet? Have I got a project!

I couldn’t really just sit through four hours of Hamlet with nothing to do.  So I assigned myself a project.  I went through five Rubbermaid storage containers and culled things.  It was a great success, I now only have three storage containers and the project lasted the entire length of the movie.

Dishcloth finished

Here we have dishcloth #4 in the series. I love this pattern because it looks cool and the repeat was in segments that I could follow, being neither too small to drop stitches or too big to lose my place. If you look closely you will see that I went off track at points, but still managed to muddle through.

I’m such a fan of the checkerboard!

And this too? Where DO you find the time?

Dishcloth #3
Dishcloth #3’s pattern had a lot of yarn overs and left twists which gave me ample opportunities to drop stitches, which I did often. At one point I was short six stitches, which resulted in my counting stitches as the end of the row more often. I think the next time I knit this pattern I will use markers to delineate where the transitions are supposed to be.

Scarf completed

I started this in 2006 or 2007, but when we moved to the house, this project fell to the wayside. I’ve recently decided I need to either start knitting regularly, or give away my needles, so this project was finally finished. The waves came out rather well, if I do say so myself. What you can’t see from this picture is how incredibly soft this scarf is.
