I bought a notepad as a gift and I ended up not giving it to the person. I’ve been using it lately to track work things, and let me tell you, most of those quotes are really subpar.
Today though, I enjoyed two in a row about passion.
In other news, I’m not really sure what that stain is on my blanket. Maybe time for a wash?
I first learned of Girls on the Run when I worked for The Emerson School. We had regular crops of girls in fourth and fifth grade who usually participated in Girls on the Run and then ran in the 5K before the Starlight Parade.
I was charmed by this poster someone made and posted in Kenton Park.
The first time I found a double-yolked egg, I was so excited I made it the picture on my Christmas card. It’s not unusual for me to see them now—I suspect the “organic” “free-range” eggs are more likely to let the double yolks slide—but it’s always a fun surprise.
Hey look! It’s Teddy Dunn! He played Duncan Kane on Veronica Mars. In this Gilmore Girls episode, he plays a rich dude who isn’t great.
Also exciting? The Gilmore Girls have the same cookware set I do! At least in this episode. It’s fun to see your inanimate objects out in the world.
Apparently, before he was delightful on Parks & Recreation, he appeared twice on Gilmore Girls, playing Jackson’s brother.
He was not such a delightful character in Gilmore Girls.
My feelings about Gilmore Girls are complex and ever evolving, but it’s very fun when I get to say, “Hey! Look at that!” In the case of season four, episode 4, it’s (depending on your reference point) Sherriff Leo from Veronica Mars, or Schmidt from New Girl.
Here he plays a guy named Luke who is at Dean’s bachelor party. The guy in the sailor suit standing next to him is Chauncey Leopardi, who played Alan White on Freaks and Geeks (among other things). He has a couple of very funny scenes in Gilmore Girls.
I also saw Rami Malek in an episode of Season 3.
Sometimes it seems that even if you just went to Scrap and read the signs, it would be worth the trip. I think these are Ikea bookends.
Sign says: IDK Zig Zag stand thingies. Compare at $30 but we don’t know why, or what they do.
Also, if you are in need of the lower half of a male mannequin, early April was your time.
If only I hadn’t fumbled the country name, I would have gotten this on the first try!
An excellent example of excitement getting the best of me.
I correctly guessed it was a country with the final four words of S-T-A-N. But then after three countries with that ending, I couldn’t think of any more.
