Sara said that this postcard came from SFO. As you can probably see, the texture of the card is devine.
Friend Tara writes that she and L spent a night in Boise (which she calls “your old stomping grounds”) and are enjoying Shoshone Falls.
She said that they were currently watching shirtless BASE jumpers “prepare for a death-defying act off the cliff.”
No report of what happened after that, so presumably death was defied.
Zoe sent me this postcard from Oakland, where she and Nick have recently moved. It’s not far from their place in Berkeley, but has a nicer landlord (and, according to her, a backyard with very aggressive squirrels).
She also included her return address on the card, but the post office barcode obliterated everything but the city and the zip code. I had to text her for the rest.
Laurie bought this postcard at Smiley’s Red Barn in Hood River when she did the Fruit Loop. She said there were a lot of peaches.
Sara writes that she and Shawn visited the Humboldt County Fair for the first time since 2019, and had a good time, though it was a hard shift from the Minnesota State Fair. I can attest to that being true, as I’ve been to both the HCF and the MSF.
I note that the copyright on this postcard is from 2017. I wonder what the genesis of this card was…. 😉
I’m a fan of pants, but appreciate this message.
Sara comments that nude from the waist down seems odd to her, and I agree. But it made us both laugh.
This postcard comes from Whistle and Fizz in New York.
Sara reports that, back in Arcata, working with a friend made the work fun and that her first time with students is tomorrow.
