We met up with one of my high school friend and his partner for coffee and then set out for a hike.
Here is Benham Falls.
After visiting the falls, we hiked part of the Deschutes River Trail, which was pretty. You can see it by looking past our grinning faces in the following self-portraits.

After that, we got some linner and hung out at the hotel. The next day involved driving to Roseburg, Eugene and Corvallis to get more stamps. No photos exist of this day.
It was a lovely anniversary trip.
Lots of beautiful hikes! Seems like a lovely way to spend an anniversary vacation. The ill-fated bike trip I took the one time I went to Bend went along the Deschutes. I remember thinking that the river was pretty as I huffed and puffed and tried not to die.

Its funny – I am commenting in two windows simultaneously – going back and forth for some reason (well the reason was I wanted to be sure that I didn’t miss any posts). Its funny to be in two phases of the timeline at the same time.
